 MATERIALS

Polyaspartic/Polyurea Hybrid

 1. Superior Chemical Resistance

Polyaspartic–polyurea hybrids form a dense, tightly cross-linked molecular structure once cured.

  • This dense network prevents penetration from chemicals like oils, fuels, salts, acids, and cleaning agents that commonly degrade traditional epoxy coatings.

  • The coating resists staining, etching, and corrosion, making it ideal for garages, industrial floors, and commercial kitchens where exposure to harsh chemicals is frequent.

2. Outstanding UV Stability

Traditional epoxy coatings tend to yellow, fade, or chalk when exposed to sunlight. Polyaspartic hybrids are inherently UV stable, meaning they maintain their color and gloss even under direct sunlight or outdoor exposure.

  • This makes them ideal not only for interior floors but also for patios, driveways, showrooms, and outdoor walkways.

  • They keep the surface looking new and vibrant for years, reducing maintenance costs.

3. Long-Term Durability and Longevity

Polyaspartic–polyurea coatings are known for their high tensile strength and abrasion resistance—significantly stronger than traditional epoxies.

  • They are flexible yet tough, allowing the surface to withstand thermal expansion, heavy impacts, and foot or vehicle traffic without cracking or peeling.

  • Because of this strength and flexibility, these systems can last 2–3 times longer than standard epoxy coatings under similar conditions.

4. Fast Cure Time Without Sacrificing Performance

One of the standout features of polyaspartic technology is its rapid curing, even in cold or humid conditions.

  • Contractors can complete installation—including return-to-service—within a single day, reducing downtime.

  • Despite the fast cure, the final coating achieves full chemical and mechanical strength, making it perfect for both basecoat and topcoat applications.

5. Excellent Adhesion as a Basecoat

As a basecoat, the hybrid formulation provides superior adhesion to properly prepared concrete.

  • It penetrates and bonds tightly, sealing the surface and providing a strong foundation for the system.

  • It also minimizes outgassing bubbles and promotes even curing across the slab.

6. Crystal-Clear, Glossy, and Customizable Finish

As a topcoat, polyaspartic hybrids produce a high-gloss, clear, or pigmented finish that enhances decorative flakes or metallic pigments.

  • The coating remains non-yellowing and crystal clear, keeping decorative floors looking professional and consistent.

  • Slip-resistant additives can be easily incorporated without dulling the gloss or compromising durability.
